The City of Cambridge is committed to transparency, accountability and on-going communication with residents. To ensure this, we work with local media to provide important information on City programs, services and other initiatives.

Staff are available to respond to media inquiries during regular operating hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

All media inquiries should be directed to corpcomm@cambridge.ca and include the reporter’s contact information and deadline.

Please note: The City of Cambridge will only respond to inquiries made outside business hours if they are related to an immediate emergency or urgent operational matter. Other requests will be addressed during regular business hours.

Due to the consistent heavy rains and heavily saturated ground conditions, all ball diamonds will unfortunately be closed for this evening. Conditions have not allowed for any maintenance or grooming equipment to access the fields. Jacob Hespeler #3 natural turf field will also be closed for this evening. Users must keep off all closed fields to avoid any injuries and to prevent causing any long term field damage.

Snow EventUpdate - February 25 at 5PM - The City of Cambridge is ending the current snow event early as crews have completed snow clearing activities. On-street parking may now resume.

Due to some additional accumulation and blowing snow conditions, a Snow Event is once again in effect for the City of Cambridge beginning tonight at 5 p.m. February 19, 2022 and remains in effect for 24 hours unless extended or cancelled.
Any vehicles parked on-street during the event may be ticketed and/or towed. Residents are also reminded not to push snow from their driveway onto the road.

Soper FloodingSoper Park will be closed indefinitely to pedestrian traffic. Current high water levels have caused extensive flooding within the park and the pathway system is under water. Due to the frozen ground conditions water is not able to properly drain away, and once the tempartaures rapidly drop, the area will most likely be fully locked in with ice.
