Cambridge Core Areas Patrol Program (CCAP)
» Found in Planning ServicesFrom the long weekend in May until the last weekend in August, pairs of CCAP Patrollers bicycle through the three core areas. You will recognize the Patrollers by their white-crested t-shirts, black shorts, and yellow jackets.
CCAP Patrollers can help you with directions, First Aid & CPR, questions about safety, and call the Police on your behalf. They are our ambassadors, and are helping us build a safe community. All CCAP Patrollers are certified in current CPR and First Aid.
The CCAP Program Mandate
- To be goodwill ambassadors for the City of Cambridge and the City's three Business Improvement Areas (BIAs)
- To provide the citizens and visitors of Cambridge with a greater sense of comfort and safety in the three core areas
- To be proactive in safety education for bicycling, skateboarding, and rollerblading
Through working with the CCAP Program Partners, the CCAP Patrollers have been able to achieve a high level of success in our community, and effectively manage issues involving community safety. The CCAP Program is possible because of the dedication and support from the following groups:
- Hespeler Village BIA
- Preston Towne Centre BIA
- Downtown Cambridge BIA
- Waterloo Regional Police
- City of Cambridge
