Annual Mayor's Award for Excellence in Workforce Training & Development

In today's competitive business environment, sound, strategic workforce training and development simply makes good business sense. Organizations are benefitting from the long-term value provided by a well-trained and forward-thinking workforce. Training and development enhances a company's competitiveness, improves efficiency and directly influences employee goodwill.

The Mayor's Award for Excellence in Workforce Training & Development was established in 1994 by the City of Cambridge and the Cambridge Training & Development Advisory Group to recognize those organizations in our community that demonstrate a clear commitment to the innovative and successful training and development of their workforce (employees and volunteers). In saluting these training leaders, we hope to emphasize the role workforce training plays in driving our City's economic growth and prosperity.

Any Cambridge organization, large or small, private or public sector can qualify as a training and development leader.
