The Regional Municipality of Waterloo is the approval authority for plans of subdivision and condominiums under the Planning Act. However, concurrent applications are required to the Region and the City.
A draft plan of subdivision is submitted to the Region and the City in order to subdivide a larger parcel of land into smaller lots. The subdivision approval process is approximately a minimum of six months.
