The City of Cambridge currently has 57 full time crossing guards and 8 spare guards. Crossing Guards usually work a 2 hour day or a 3 hour day, which includes lunch coverage. The Crossing Guard position is very important, as the Guards are there to provide assistance to young children when crossing the roadway.
