Whimsical Wednesdays

For the entire month of July, Wednesday nights were looking better than ever as Civic Square played host to a wide variety of children's entertainers. Kicking off the season on July 2nd was musical stylist Erik Traplin, followed by the twice Juno nominated Mary Lambert, Sho, Mo & the Monkey Bunch, the Smudge Fundaes, the Blac Ice Comics, and Captain Corbin "The Magical Pirate". It was hard to miss the excitement of these performers as both children and parents alike were up on their feet interacting in these fun and exciting shows. Thanks to all of those who came out to the events to join in the fun!

The weekend kicked off with the Grand Opening Reception which included guests such as Mayor Doug Craig, the Honourable John Gerretsen, Ontario Minister of Environment and members of Cambridge City Council. Following the Thursday night event was the Mayor's Celebration for the Arts which featured the talents of local musicians and artists.
