Natural Heritage Trust Fund

Natural Heritage Trust Fund

Formation of the Natural Heritage Trust Fund is a result of the Cambridge Environmental Advisory Committees (CEAC) goal to provide the community with a way to make financial contributions for the purpose of purchasing and maintaining local natural areas. Securement of natural areas through their purchase, and subsequent stewardship and maintenance, is recognized as a valuable tool in the long-term protection of natural areas, especially in urban settings.

The Natural Heritage Trust Fund is administered by a subcommittee that reports annually to the Cambridge Environmental Advisory Committee and City Council.
