Municipal Heritage Advisory Committee (M.H.A.C.) The Heritage Properties Inventory

The City of Cambridge Heritage Properties Inventory has been released as a handy reference for identifying properties for which the municipality has a particular interest in heritage conservation. It consists of a list of those buildings designated under Parts IV and V of the Ontario Heritage Act, R.S.O. 1990 in addition to those identified as a property of interest by the Municipal Heritage Advisory Committee as having architectural and/or historic significance.

This document was endorsed by Council on May 8, 2006 and will be updated on a regular basis. The contents are arranged alphabetically by address and also identify whether a property is statutorily recognized, under the Ontario Heritage Act, as a landmark. Staff are asked to refer to this list when processing such applications as signage, building permits, proposed amendments to the official plan and/or zoning by-law and consents/variances under consideration by the City’s Committee of Adjustment.
