Housing Report
The Annual Housing Report examines the state of the housing market in Cambridge with emphasis on supply and affordability. The report describes the type and quantity of housing units built in the previous year and describes the figures in the context of construction activity over the past decade.
The report reviews the rental market in terms of vacancy rate trends and rental rates charged for apartment and row house units. Residential sales activity and selling prices are reviewed in regard to their affordability.
The Rent-Geared-to-Income housing market is reviewed in addition to the supply of accommodation in the Secondary Rental Market. The report is completed with a review of the supply of unbuilt residential units and consideration if the supply can accommodate the anticipated demand over the next three to ten years.
