Heritage Master Plan

In 2006, the City of Cambridge hired Bray Heritage to initiate the development of a Heritage Master Plan. The purpose of the Plan is to prepare a comprehensive strategy for the conservation of the Cambridge's built heritage resources that ensures these resources are identified, valued and protected.

The Plan is in its final stages and the consultant has prepared Report #3 which identifies possible conservation strategies. At this time, staff from the Planning Services Department is meeting with various communities groups to ask what three priorities they think the City of Cambridge should be undertaking as part of the implementation of the Heritage Master Plan. Based on the response, the proposed Implementation Steering Committee will guide the Plan through to completion.

See related documents below to access a copy of Report #3. To provide comments regarding heritage conservation activities please contact Valerie Spring, Heritage Planner, at springv@cambridge.ca, 519.740.4650 Ext 4580.
