Staging of Development
The Staging of Development Report is prepared annually by the Planning Services Department in accordance with the policies of the Official Plan.
The Staging of Development Report provides a multi-year forecast of development activity as measured by the registration of draft plans of subdivision. Through the recommendations at the onset of this report, Council is also establishing a staging sequence for the planning and development of future growth areas and the provision of municipal infrastructure needed to support that growth. The staging of development report is used by Council and municipal staff for the preparation of the capital budget for the completion of subwatershed and community plans, municipal trunk infrastructure projects and related environmental assessments and other growth related capital projects.
