Notice to all Plumbing Contractors and Plumbers
NOTICE TO ALL PLUMBING CONTRACTORS, AND PLUMBERS
The cross connection control program requires that Licensed Plumbers complete the installation, and repairs or replacement of the backflow prevention devices.
Each device is tested following the installation to assure it is working properly. Each device is then required to be tested annually to assure it's continued operation. A certified backflow prevention device tester shall have successfully completed a cross connection control course in backflow prevention device testing at an accredited school or college. This requirement comes directly from the current CAN/CSA B64.10-94 standard.
