"Take Your Place in Cambridge History...
Time Capsule to Seal Community Collection for Future Unveiling.

What would you preserve for future generations if you could pick an item to tell the story of Cambridge? Plans are underway to create a once in a lifetime opportunity for citizens and special community groups to participate in a time capsule project with the City of Cambridge that will capture the present and preserve it for future generations. Cambridge will create a time capsule that will be sealed with significant items from our community and reopened in June of 2058. This date will represent the forthcoming celebration of the 200th anniversary of the Historic City Hall and the 50th anniversary of City Hall.
"Citizens and representatives from key community organizations are encouraged to participate," says Councillor Pam Wolf, Chair of the Time Capsule Task Force. "It's a wonderful way to tell the story of 2009 centuries from now to create a significant learning opportunity for future generations."
