Welcome Message from His Worship, Mayor Doug Craig
On behalf of Cambridge City Council and the citizens of Cambridge, I would like to welcome you to the City of Cambridge website.
Cambridge is a thriving city located in Canada's rich, industrial heartland of southern Ontario, at the gateway to Canada's Technology Triangle. The City was formed in 1973, through the amalgamation of the three former municipalities of Galt, Hespeler and Preston and the surrounding region including Blair.
Cambridge offers a unique opportunity for business. Our workforce has a 185-year history of productivity and quality. Our location puts us on the doorstep of world markets and is ideally situated to network for trade and commerce across North America. And our quality of life makes Cambridge a fine place to call home for over 130,000 citizens. For businesses interested in locating in Canada's industrial heartland, Cambridge is the perfect choice.
The City of Cambridge is very environmentally focused. 22 September 2011 - Mayor Doug Craig's 2011 State of the City Address, also joined by Nadir Patel, Assistant Deputy Minister, Corporate Finance and Operations, Chief Financial Officer, Foreign Affairs and International Trade, who was formerly the Canadian Consul General in Shanghai. David Marskell, Chief Executive Officer for THEMUSEUM, who also delivered remarks.
