The City of Cambridge welcomes your photos to help tell the story of this vibrant community. We will do our best to recognize your artistic talents and give you a photo credit where space permits. It is important that the photo gallery contain quality images and therefore we are requesting images that are a minimum of 1 mg in size to a maximum of 10 mg. By submitting to this gallery, you are giving the City of Cambridge full rights to post the image/images on its website and use it in marketing and communications publications.

The submission of any photo to the City of Cambridge online photo gallery is deemed to constitute the photographer’s consent and acknowledgement of the following terms and conditions:

• That the City reserves the right to use or reject photo(s) with discretion; and use of the photos is not limited to the City of Cambridge website or publications;
• The City of Cambridge asks that all pertinent information be included with the photo submission to allow for an accurate photo caption including date of image, description and photographers name (if desired) and category of image. (Contact information must be provided but will not be published online.
• That you are the taker of the photo(s) and therefore have the legal right to convey all interests in the photo(s) to The Corporation of the City of Cambridge;
• The photo(s) become the property of The Corporation of the City of Cambridge upon acceptance of the submission by the City;
• You release all ownership interest, right, copyright you have in the photo(s) forever; effective upon submission of the photo(s);
• You waive all claims to compensation or damages by The Corporation of the City of Cambridge upon acceptance of the photo(s);
• That where possible, there will be credit and recognition given to the photographer/submitter;
• The City has the right to modify the photo(s) any way it wishes and you waive any right to approve any such modifications;
• Once a photo is posted in the photo gallery of the City of Cambridge’s website it becomes accessible to the public and news media and may be downloaded and used by anyone using the Internet;
• Photo(s) must not contain any identifiable people;
• Photo submissions must be considered in good taste and the City of Cambridge may constitute an image offensive and therefore decline to use it;

The act of submitting a photo to the City for the Photo gallery is deemed to be consent in perpetuity, to the terms listed here, unless the City is advised in writing, within 15 business days of the sending of the acceptance acknowledgement by the City of Cambridge, that the photographer’s consent has been revoked from point of notice of revocation forward, and any use prior to such revocation is deemed to have been authorized.
