November 12, 1991

Jane Brewer wins re-election as Cambridge's mayor. She receives 10,458 votes representing 61.4% of the total ballots. Finishing second is Alan Denney with 4,575 votes and third is Bill Wellsman with 1,989 votes. This is the first election in which scanning technology is used to automatically count election ballots. This election saw two of the closest results in the election of council members. In one race incumbent Bob Wall defeated Victoria Clark by only 56 votes. In another Paul Nagge defeated Gary Price by 62 votes.
