Council and General Committee Meetings - General Information
Council and General Committee meetings are held at the Council Chambers, 3rd floor, Historic City Hall, 46 Dickson Street.
The meetings are scheduled on a rotation of once every three weeks generally on Monday evenings at 7:00 p.m. Meeting times are subject to change and you should confirm the meeting date and time with the City Clerk's Office. A schedule of meetings is found in the Calendar on the home page of the City Website.
Hearing Assistive Devices
As part of our ongoing commitment to accessibility, we have new FM Assistive Listening Devices to serve you! For those interested, these are now available for use in the Council Chambers.
The new LISTEN PE-500R Hearing Assistive devices are offered to the public who attend meetings of council, on a sign out basis. Further information will be provided at Council Chambers.

- holds public meetings on planning issues
- hears presentations by various advisory committees and groups
- reviews staff reports
- deals with other city business
- makes recommendations to City Council
City Council Meeting
- approves staff reports
- approves minutes of General Committee and Advisory Committees
- enacts by-laws
